The next article that I read spoke about the increase in sea levels as well as the dangers the world will face. The article “Antarctica Sets Record High Temperature: 64.9 Degrees” by Derrick Bryson Taylor, he speaks on yet another continent that is suffering the consequences of human greed. This continent is going through life changing changes. The author states that since 2015 temperatures have gone up one degree, and though that might not sound like a lot, it just goes to show that the temperatures are increasing, Antarctica shouldn’t even be that high in the 60’s. For people that don’t understand what global warming is, there is a pretty good example used, “I think of the warming of the atmosphere as like preheating an oven and the polar ice sheets are like a frozen lasagna that you put into the oven and now even the frozen lasagna is starting to defrost at high polar latitude,”. This article is showing the public, that global warming is real and that the people, the government must take action. 

Both of these articles reflect the changes the world is going through today. Both of these articles connect. Global warming isn’t a joke and it shouldn’t be handled as one. It is significant that everyone is aware of what the future holds if nothing is done. I think these articles should be on everyone’s radar. Not a lot of people are aware that is going on and they are delusional. We need to recognize what we have done and change for the better.
